Day 1| Arrive Delhi On your Arrival at Delhi airport, our company executives will receive you at the Airport. They will assist you getting in the car and get driven to the pre booked hotel. If time permits go for local sightseeing. Check-in at the hotel and stay overnight. Day 2| Delhi – Jaipur (by Road 260 kms approx) After breakfast, get driven to Jaipur, the Pink City, founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, the ruler of Amber. Reach there and check in at the hotel. Then go for local sightseeing. Explore the beautiful architecture of HAWA MAHAL, CITY PALACE, BIRLA TEMPLE and JANTAR MANTAR, the go to see the well preserve history in the MUSEUM. After visiting all the tourist places come back to the hotel and stay overnight. Day 3| Jaipur After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for an excursion to AMBER FORT in the outskirts of Jaipur. Elephant ride ascent to the fort. Enjoy the wonderful carvings and minute mirror work on the walls & ceilings. In the evening proceed to Chokhi Dhani, an ethnic village. Dinner and cultural program will be organized for you at Chokhi Dhani. Return to the hotel for overnight stay. Day 4| Jaipur – Pushkar (by Road 145kms approx) After breakfast, drive to Pushkar. Reach there and check in at the hotel. Rest for few hours and then go to visit the famous and the only Lord Bramha Temple in the world. After darshan & aarti, go for local shopping. Stay overnight at the hotel. Pushkar: Historically, Pushkar always had great strategic importance and was sacked by Mahumud of Ghazni on one of his periodic forays from Afghanistan. Later it became a favorite residence of the great Moghula. One of the first contacts between the Moghula and the British occurred in Pushkar when Sir Thomas Roe met with Jahangir here in 1616. The city was subsequently taken by the Scindias and, in 1818, it was handed over to the British, becoming one of the few places in Rajasthan controlled directly by British rather than being part of a princely state. Day 5| Pushkar – Udaipur (by Road 250kms approx) Early morning get driven to Udaipur, known as the Venice of the east. It is also called the city of lakes. Have your breakfast enroute. Reach there in the afternoon and check in at the hotel. Get ready to explore the culture & places here in Udaipur. Go for a tour visiting places like City Palace, City Palace Museum, Pichola Lake (enjoy boat ride here), FatehSagar Lake, Udai Sagar Lake, Jagdish Temple, Lake Palace, Jag Mandir Palace etc. Stay overnight at the hotel. Day 6| Udaipur After breakfast, go for the half day city tour to visit rest of the tourist attractions around. Come back to the hotel and stay overnight. Jodhpur: Jodhpur "The Sun City" was founded by Rao Jodha, a chief of the Rathore clan, in 1459. It is named after him only. Jodhpur in Rajasthan, India was previously known as Marwar. Jodhpur is the second largest city in Rajasthan. It is divided into two parts - the old city and the new city. The old city is separated by a10 km long wall surrounding it. Also it has eight Gates leading out of it. The new city is outside the walled city. Jodhpur is a very popular tourist destination. The landscape is scenic and mesmerizing. Jodhpur city has many beautiful palaces and forts such as Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, Umaid Bhavan Palace and Rai ka Bag Palace. Day 8| Jodhpur After breakfast, go on an excursion to Mandore Gardens, which was once the capital of princely state of Marwar. The highlights here are the royal cenotaphs and the hall of local war heroes here along with the exotic spice market. Drive back to Jodhpur in the evening and see the gorgeous Umaid Bhawan Palace, which still serves as the residence of the royal family of Jodhpur in part. Stay overnight at the hotel. Day 9| Jodhpur – Jaisalmer (by Road 285kms approx) After breakfast, drive to Jaisalmer, which is a part of the Great Thar Desert. Reach there, check in at the hotel. Rest till evening and then enjoy the glimpse of the sunset on the Golden Fort. Stay overnight at the hotel. Day 11| Jaisalmer – Bikaner (by Road 333kms approx) Early morning, get driven to Bikaner, the desert city of Rajasthan famous for its picturesque golden sand dunes, striking red sandstone forts, stunning Palaces and Havelis and certainly its camel safaris. Day 13| Bikaner – Mandawa (by Road 150kms approx) After breakfast, get driven to Mandawa, also known as the open art gallery of India. In the evening enjoy the hospitality of the castle and nearby destinations. Stay overnight at the hotel. Mandawa: Mandawa is a town in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan in India. It is part of Shekhawati region. Mandawa is situated 190 km off Jaipur in the north. The town lies between latitude 28°.06’ in the north and longitude 75°.20’ in the east. Mandawa is known for its fort and havelis. The fort town of Mandawa is well connected with the other places in region through a good network of roads. The City of Mandawa was made a thikana in the mid of 18th century by the Bhojraj Ji Kasubsub clan of Shekhawat Rajputs. About the origin of this town there have been earlier references to Mandu Jat as founder of the Mandawa village. He first established a dhani (hamlet) and dug a well here, which was completed on savan badi 5 samvat 1797 (1740 AD) (source – Shekhawati Bodh, Mandawa special issue, July 2005). Initially this place was known as ‘Mandu ki dhani’, ‘Mandu ka bas’ or ‘Manduwas’ which changed to ‘Manduwa’, ‘Mandwa’ and finally ‘Mandawa’. Water well near MandawaA remote feudal principality in the centre of the Shekhawati region, Mandawa was a trading outpost for the ancient caravan routes that stopped here from China and the Middle East. Thakur Nawal Singh, the Rajput ruler of Nawalgarh and Mandawa, built a fort in 1755 to protect this outpost. The township that grew around the fort soon attracted a large community of traders, who settled here. Day 14| Mandawa – New Delhi (by Road 250 kms approx) - New Delhi – Amritsar (by Air) After breakfast at the hotel, drive back to Delhi. Reach Delhi in the afternoon; optionally go for some shopping around. Then get driven to the airport for boarding your flight to Amritsar. Reach Amritsar in the evening and get transferred to a pre booked hotel. Check in and optionally can go to visit The Golden Temple. Stay overnight at the hotel. Amritsar: The History of Amritsar can be traced back to the days of the Indus Valley Civilization. A number of archaeological sites have been found in Amritsar and other parts of Punjab. The history of Amritsar in the Vedic period was marked by the existence of a number of Sages and Saints and the legend of Ramayana, which considers the area to be the venue of Rishi Balmikis ashram and the birth place of Lavh and Kush. The history of Amritsar points out at Greek influence on the region around 326 B.C. when the area came under the control of Alexander. With the defeat of the Greeks, the Mauryas annexed Amritsar, making it a part of their Empire. From the 4th century to the 6th century the history of Amritsar came to be linked with the history of the Gupta Empire. After a short period of rule by the Shahi Dynasty, the area came under the control of Sultan Mahmood of Ghazni. It was from the 16th Century that the history of Amritsar came to be linked with the Sikh Gurus and their teachings. Sikh Guru Ram Das and his successor Guru Arjan Dev went on to create a temple around a small pool, that had healing powers and thus the name Amritsar. Slowly with people settling around the temple a town grew up. Over the years Amritsar underwent various historical developments and went on to fortified by Guru Govind Singh. The history of Amritsar during India's Freedom Movement is a story of bloody struggles. Day 15| Amritsar After breakfast at the hotel, go to see the world famous GOLDEN TEMPLE. Be there for few hours and be a part of the spiritual guiding, “shabad” & “kirtan” (prayers). You will yourself analyze the mental peace & harmony you have gain from this place. Then you will be driven to JALLIANWALA BAGH, an important place in Indian history where Jallianwala Bagh Massacre (Amritsar Massacre) took place. On 13, April 1919 British Indian Army soldiers under command of Brigadier-General Reginald Dyer opened fire on an unarmed gathering of innocent men, women & children. The firing lasted about 10 minutes and 1650 rounds were fired or 33 rounds per soldier. According to private sources there were over 1000 deaths, with more than 2000 wounded, and Civil Surgeon Dr. Smith indicated that there were 1,526 casualties. Next, head to the Wagah Border, India & Pakistan border and attend the gate closing ceremony in the sunset. Ceremony is conducted with the lowering of flags from both the sides (India & Pakistan) followed by a military exercise to close the gates. Seeing sunset here is a memorable moment. Come back to the hotel and stay overnight at the hotel. Day 16| Amritsar – New Delhi (by Air) - New Delhi – Hyderabad (by Air) This day fly out from Amritsar to Delhi and further to Hyderabad, the ‘City of Nawabs’. Arrive Hyderabad in the late afternoon, and get driven to a pre booked hotel. Check in and relax till evening. In the evening, you can explore the local bazaars and delicacies of Hyderabad like ‘Hyderabadi Biryani’ etc. Stay overnight at the hotel. Also known as The City of Nizams and The City of Pearls, Hyderabad is today one of the most developed cities in the country and a modern hub of information technology, ITES, and biotechnology. Day 17| Hyderabad On your Seventieth day of Hyderabad tour, this day will for a city tour and sightseeing. The main landmark in Hyderabad is the Charminar. Located in the heart of the city the galleries and arches of Charminar are of great importance to the tourists. The glass bangles are a must buy from Charminar. Close to the Charminar stands the Mecca Masjid. The mosque is large enough for nearly ten thousand men at prayer. Amongst the other mosques in the city are Jami Masjid and the Toli Masjid. Another tourist attraction in Hyderabad is the Falakuma palace. The palace was home to the last Nizam and stores the most expensive art objects, tapestries and carpets, in addition to the largest single-man collection of diamonds. Between Hyderabad and its twin city Secunderabad lays the Husain Sagar Lake. This large artificial lake offers breathtaking views of Naubat Pahad, a hilltop crowned by the Birla temple. The Salar Jung Museum is another worth visiting place in Hyderabad. For the animal lovers Nehru Zoological Park is the perfect place for lion safari and watching other wild animals. Hyderabad is home to Osmania University also. It is the largest university in India and boasts of students from across India and abroad. State Central Library that was established in 1891 also makes an interesting tourist spot in Hyderabad. Come back to the hotel and stay overnight. Day 18| Hyderabad – Mumbai (by Air) This day after breakfast get driven to the airport for boarding your flight to Mumbai. Arrive Mumbai, and get transferred to a pre booked hotel.
