Your Itinerary
Day 1: Delhi
Arrive Delhi, India. On arrival at Delhi’s international airport, we will meet at the arrival hall outside immigration & transferred to the hotel. Enjoy a welcome drink. Afternoon visit the red fort comprising exquisite palaces reflecting Mugal Architecture. Enjoy a rickshaw ride through the colorful & bustling Chandini chawk bazaars of Delhi. Overnight at hotel. (B)
Day 2: Delhi
In the morning we will continue to explore Delhi. Visit the Qutab Minar, the astonishing victory tower built in the early 13.th century, a masterpiece of a perfect proportions. We also visit Humayun’s tomb, one of the earliest monuments of the grand Mughal empire. (B)
Day3: Delhi/Agra
In the morning we will drive by car / coach to Agra, the city of world’s most famous love story, Taj Mahal. Visit the world famous Taj Mahal at sunset, built by the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in 1630 for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. The Taj Mahal is considered to the ultimate symbol of love with its Majestic marble domes & elegant minarets. (B)
Day 4: Agra/Bharatpur
Early morning departure from Agra to Visit Fatehpur Sikari, the abandoned 16th century city of Akbar, and the world-famous Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, night stay in the Hotel.
Day 5: Bharatpur/Jaipur
Early morning drive to the pink city / built in 1728. In the afternoon we have a tour of the ’Pink City’ of Jaipur, including the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the winds) not in fact a palace, but an elaborate facade of windows and balconies from which the royal ladies, confined to their quarters could watch the world outside, without being watched and the Maharaja’s Palace (City Palace) Evening free. Night stay in hotel.
Day 6: Jaipur
Visit Amber and take an elephant ride (approached in princely style on an elephant) to the palace set on a hill dominating the town. Explore the market in the evening.
Day 7: Jaipur/Mandawa
Drive to Mandawa in the Shekhawati region, known for the beautiful frescoes which adorn many of the buildings. Stay at Mandawa Castle a heritage hotel.
Day 8: Mandawa/Khimsar
Continue by road to Khismar, where we spend the afternoon and overnight at the 15th century fortress now converted in heritage hotel.
Day 9: Khimsar/Jaisalmer
Drive to Jaisalmer, the most perfect of the walled cities of Rajasthan, rising out of the desert like a mirage. Two are spent at the Gorbandh Palace Hotel. (Or Similar)
Day 10: Jaisalmer
Sightseeing in Jaisalmer, a medieval city of elaborately carved mansions (havelies) in yellow sandstone, built by rich merchants at a time when the city was a key stopping place on the caravan routes from the Middle East. Jaisalmer has been described as an ’open air museum’, and to enter its narrow cobbled lanes is to step back into another era. In the evening we have arranged a desert barbecue.
Day 11: Jaisalmer/Jodhpur
This morning we drive to Jodhpur, the second city of Rajasthan on the edge of the Thar Desert. Transfer to the Hotel for an overnight stay. The afternoon is free.
Day 12: Jodhpur/Luni
Morning sightseeing. Including the mighty 15th century fort which towers above the city, after which we drive to Luni in time for lunch. In the afternoon we enjoy a glimpse of traditional Rajasthani village life. Overnight in Luni at the charming Chanwa Fort.
Day 13: Luni/Ranakpur/Udaipur
Drive to Ranakpur to visit the beautifully-preserved Jain temples. Continue after lunch
to Udaipur, and transfer to the Hotel.
Day 14: Udaipur/Delhi
Morning tour of Udaipur city. Afternoon free. Board flight in the evening to Delhi to board onward flight for your country.
